PROUT 39. LIFTING ENGINE FROM SAILDRIVE

Post by PETER STEVENS »

Hi all, I have to lift my engine (VOLVO PENTA 2030MD) and am not sure how I go about separating it from the saildrive. Anybody else had to do this on the water? Suggestions welcome. Thanks

Pete

Prout engine out

Try contacting Mike on Peregrine who is in the middle of an engine out job - he has some fancy lifting tackle rigged at present.

Picture right side up this time. Used a board cut to fit through small ports either side of engine compartment and attached small chain hoist "come-a-long"
