Quest 31 unused inaccessible void under berth

In my port aft berth there appears to be a large area under the bed that is inaccessible. this hatch shown is to a small chamber but the remaining space behind it is walled off. Before I explore with a saw I want to see if anyone has investigated this wasted space unless its intended as extra dedicated floatation chamber in addition to the existing one in the stern.
