Hauling out Prout 50

Post by crh »

Hi There
Ive always had our Prout 50 lifted out with a travel lift and no problems so far. However I can foresee a time when one is not available and maybe looking a "sea lift" or similar which lifts under the bridge deck. I'm interested to know if any other Prout 50 owners have done it this way and any issues? Lifting by slings under the 2 hulls makes for a more even loading and am concerned about all the weight ( around 17 T) being taken by the underside of the bridge deck, with a sea lift approach.

Thanks for your answer.

I was lifted out like that last year in the Powerboats yard in Chaguaramas Trinidad and had no problems. To be honest getting lifted out with slings actually squeezed the hulls together so I prefer this method.

I'm having difficulty uploading an image to show you their equipment
