Structural problem or superficial wound

Post by LaLiberte »

Hi everyone,

We just noticed on our 1996 prout 45 that we have recently taken ownership of, that the fibreglass under the chart table has cracked and lifted from the hull. The crack runs in an aft to stern direction. It seams to be fibreglass that that has been laid just to attach the chart table to. But obviously it’s been caused by some major flex in the hulls. Has anyone come across this fault before, it’s it a structural concern or somthing we can wait until the end of the season to take care of.

Can’t seam to upload a basic pic unfortunately, file too big.

Thanks for any advice/info,

Fair winds!
