Quest 31 Specifications

Post by jvolpehoo »

Just bought a '78 needing lots of TLC. Does anyone have master carpenter's certificate or builders cert?Manufacturer's specs for rigging or anything else for that matter? I need to find the net tonnage for USCG documentation. This is not displacement weight but the cubic volume of hull and cabin. Also any advice on sailing her greatly appreciated. I read somewhere to always put the staysail up first and take it down last... tips such as these would be very helpful.
Thank you

Hello,
We also have a 31 that we have sailed up and down the east coast. As far as sails... I rarely use the staysail. When trying to point higher or as a storm sail, but as a normal course of day sailing, it is just not used that much. I will try to answer questions as you ask them.
