Waterline on Snowgoose 37

Post by svgeru »

We just removed all the anti-fouling from our Snowgoose and were surprised to find a bootstripe, so I'm wondering if this is where the factory normally put the waterline as we've seen other boats with the waterline even higher than ours.

So where is your waterline?

As you can see ours was way overdue when we bought her, just had her tidied up to the mark previously covered. It does make a huge visual change we think.

It looks to me like our original bootstripe was painted over and "raised" at least once and possibly twice. This is a 1982 Prout Snowgoose. We went ahead and bought her, but I am suspecting there will be pounding :-)
