Prout 50 Quasar capacities

Hi! I have a 1980 Quasar and I get a little confused about how much the fresh water capacity is. Reading different specifications it says 2 X 100 imp gallons (appr 900 ltrs), but as far as I can see, from the time I have sailed her, I would rather say 2 X 50 imp gallons (450 ltrs)...at the most. Sin...

Re: Polar diagram for Quasar 50

Hi!
If you have got the Quasar Polar diagram, I would be very gled if you also could mail it to me also.
I have an 1980 Quasar, meaning that it's narrower than yours, but it could still be nice to compare.

Quasar owners

Hi! Could anyone help me to get the mail address to POA members (or former) Niel and Jenny Gosling, Prickly Bay, Grenada. I also think it would be nice to get an idea of how many other Quasars there are around, so if you have one yourself or know someone who has, please send me a note, preferably wi...

Quasar hull drawings

Does anyone have any idea of where to find original hull drawings over the older Prout 50 Quasar (before the Espace)? I could have use for them when registring my Quasar in Sweden, when I will need to have it properly measured first. Original hull drawing would then be much help. Hoping for a little...

Prout 50 Sandwich

Do anyone of you know what core material it is on the fore deck sandwich construction of a Prout 50 from the 80:s? I ask because I am going to watch one with a teak deck (???) on the fore deck and I'm quite concerned about the idea, mainly because of the leaking risk but also the performance loss. W...

Quasar, to be or not to be

Hi! I have for the last 12 years owned a ketch rigged 52" wooden sailing ship, built in Norway 1924. With this, me and my family (wife and four kids) in the summer have sailed around the coasts of Scandinavia. Now we are starting to look for a more suitable sailing vessel, with a safe capabilit...
