Re: Show me your emergency tiller

You have a 37 right? That looks like it fits directly onto the top of the rudder stock. The 37s I have seen have a little round hatch in the hull above the rudder for attaching the tiller.

Re: Show me your emergency tiller

Hydrauic with a fluid tie bar.

I can disconnect the starboard rudder.

There is no provision for a tiller so at present I have no emergency steering. Made for a hairy passage to Sardinia when I sprung a hydraulic leak on one of the rams in 20 plus knots.

Genoa sail on snowgoose

I have a snowgoose 35 and am looking at getting a new genoa of lighter material rather than the 7oz dacron I have at the moment. My current genoa is 36m2 and its tracks are behind the mast on the edges of the cockpit. It is my understanding that the original genoa for the snowgoose should be 29.5m2 ...

Show me your emergency tiller

Anyone with a Snowgoose 35 (suppose a 37 would do) care to show me their emergency tiller and its attachment point on the boat?

Insurance are getting finicky (probably rightly so), so might have to get one made up.

Re: Motorcycle on my Snowgoose

This is brilliant. I wouldn't mind a Honda C90 or similar. They only weight 85kg so about as much as having a passenger on board. Need to check what my topping lift is rated as. Would be very handy for provisioning and exploring. Have you run into any issues outside of the EU? or are you only based ...

Snowgoose aft berths

Anyone made any modifications or other changes to make the aft berths on the Snowgoose 34 and 35 suitable for guests? As standard they are oversized coffins, crawl spaces at best. I think I saw at least one floor plan where the steps down to the port hull where moved away from companionway and place...

Wanted: Quest 31 or Snowgoose 35

Hi all, I'm currently in the market for Quest 31, 33, or if particularly well priced then a Snowgoose 35. Don't mind doing a bit of light work myself, as the budget is tight, but I don't want to be doing a full on restoration, or having to repair delamination in the hulls etc.. Ideally located in Eu...

Anyone know these Prouts?

Just curious if anyone knows these two Quest 31 for sale? I figure that they are both distinctive in a way, so perhaps someone here has come into contact with them on their travels. One is called Alley Cat and is need a fair amount of work. http://www.multihullworld.com/images/BoatImages/12447a.jpg ...
