Turkey is beautiful!

All the best,
Peter     Peter Peeters

 Hi Michael
Returning from Galicia to Lisbon, we anchored Vesper in River Douro,
Oporto, in the north of Portugal, where the Porto Wine used to
be sent by sailing vessels to all the world. See the beautiful Photo.
The usual guides don't encourage sailors to enter the river,
but it is a must to stay there, at least one one or two days.
We anchored out of canal, in about 4 m of depht.

 Cheers,

 José, from Vesper

PROUTS TOGETHER

Hi Michael,

Thought you might like this pic of us together.
Cloud Nine and Vesper in Lisbon.

Regards,

Clive.

I have just stumbled across your Prout members web site and I would like my Prout Quasar 50, Poste Haste, on your site.  I send you an attachment picture of her is the Solent.  I see that my former yacht, a Prout Elite, Moonlight, is also on your site.

Poste Haste is a Prout Quasar 50 and is normally moored at the Royal Clarence marina in Gosport.  Alas she was struck by lightening last year while motoring across the harbour and substantial damage was done.  There were four of us aboard and luckily, none of us was hurt.

Full repairs are being done by Desty Marine at Hamble point, Southampton under the guidance of Pantaenius Insurance Brokers.  Pantaenius have been superb.

Michael,

Thought you might like these photos of Grace May off the Costa Del Morte in Biscay. It was forecast F6 but whilst we were out there they upped it to a F8. We were getting 50 knots in the gusts on the wind instrument and hit an all time high speed whilst surfing of 17.5 knots. At least it was a sunny day!

Regards

Tim Evans

I have information or photos I think they can be useful for Prout ownwers I will send you.

I think Vesper is the only Prout 50 in Portugal, at least she is the only at Lisbon, and as far as I know there is only another Prout,  and I'm very pleased to contact other Prout owners.

We bought Vesper in Turkey and in summer 2005 we sailed to Lisbon. I send some photos of our cruise and also of our summer 2006 when we sailed to Ilhas Desertas (Desert Islands) 20 miles south of Funchal.

Sorry for my English, I'm Portuguese and I only write in English rarely.

Dear Michael,
Thank you for the welcome, we have had our quest for a couple of years now she used to be called 'Cillerkat' if that's of interest to anyone.
Here's a few pics which give an idea of the work done so far.

"These Photographs show 'Peregrine' in the final stages of construction in my back garden, interior shots, and photos of the lift out involving a 75 tonne crane to a low loader in front of my house. It shows that where there is a will there is a way! "
